'Four Parables' is a thematically interconnected suite of creative field recording compositions. (The parallel titles are in Ancient Greek.) The connections are not narrative (there are no characters, stories or plots), but purely conceptual, imagistic, sensory, metaphorical, emotional. Yet, each one does constitute a cohesive statement, or idea; and all four, together, share a common theme. Technically, I strictly followed a few simple rules throughout the composition of these soundscape parables: Every field recording used had to be one that I had made myself. Apart from editing and mixing, the only modifications or processing permitted were limited to minimal equalisation, minimal compression and limiting, and time and pitch changes. Only in the case of one short recording, I reversed the sound. No other processes - and especially, no effects - were permitted. The tracks are available in 96 kHz 24 bit flac, wav, aif, as well as mp3, formats.
